The rain will continue to affect several areas of Quebec on Wednesday, in particular the center and the east of the province where it will fall steeply under relatively mild temperatures.
If the weather promises to be cloudy in areas of western Quebec, in Greater Montreal, 5 to 10 millimeters of rain are expected, while temperatures will reach 9 degrees.
On the other hand, sometimes heavy rain is to be expected in the center and especially in eastern Quebec with precipitation that can reach 40 millimeters in places by Wednesday evening.
“A total of 25 to 40 millimeters of rain is expected by Wednesday evening,” said Environment Canada, which issued a warning for eastern Quebec.
The Mauricie, the Capitale-Nationale and the Saguenay will suffer, but the temperatures will still be mild during the day, according to the federal agency.
Similar weather conditions will also be in effect in the east of the province, particularly in the Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspésie and Côte-Nord regions.
The beautiful sunny weather will return Thursday everywhere in Quebec, except for the eastern sectors of the province, but the mercury will drop to stabilize at 2 degrees in Greater Montreal.
