Weather in Quebec: gray weather, but uncertain for the national holiday

Those who celebrate Saint-Jean in Montreal may need to equip themselves with umbrellas and rain boots for shows in the metropolis. However, it is eastern Quebec that will receive the most precipitation, especially in the Sherbrooke area.

In Estrie, the umbrellas will be deployed for the national holiday, since 20 to 30 mm of rain are expected in the region. The Outaouais should receive close to 15 mm, especially in the Gatineau sector.

The weather will remain uncertain for most of the province: risks of showers and thunderstorms are expected in several regions, including those of Montreal, the Capitale-Nationale and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.

The temperature will drop to 23 degrees on the North Shore and in the Laurentians, with cloudy conditions and a risk of showers.

Residents of Bas-Saint-Laurent will be spared the rain and will be able to enjoy a summer temperature of 26 degrees.

A smog warning is in effect for the regions of Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Bas-Saint-Laurent and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. Normally, the poor air quality is expected to extend east and south of Quebec over the next few days.
