Weather forecast: a thin white veil for Christmas

Mother Nature has decided to celebrate Christmas in the most beautiful way by covering a large part of southern Quebec with a thin veil of snow.

Throughout the day, snowflakes were to fall little by little in the west and the center of the province, quietly bleaching the streets, but with accumulations limited to only 2 to 4 cm.

In Montreal, Environment Canada forecast a maximum of -6 degrees Celsius, accompanied by light snow and the risk of intermittent freezing drizzle.

On the side of Quebec, we announce an average of -8 degrees for the day with temperatures felt up to -15. Light snow and the risk of freezing drizzle were expected in the area in the late afternoon and evening.

Further east, both north and south of the St.Lawrence, it was rather the sun that dominated for the day, with particularly mild temperatures in Gaspé and Sept-Îles, where the mercury was expected to reach the point of. freezing.
