Weather | A “hot air mass” expected over Quebec

A “hot air mass” will affect almost all regions of Quebec starting next Tuesday with temperatures ranging from 30 to 35 degrees Celsius during the day and little respite at night.

The minimum temperatures expected during the nights of Tuesday to Thursday should not drop below 20°C, according to a special weather bulletin issued by Environment Canada.

This heat wave should be accompanied by humidex values which will cause the temperature felt to rise to 40°C in the afternoon. These conditions will persist until Thursday evening.

“Be vigilant regarding heat-related repercussions, such as exhaustion and/or heat stroke. Remember to drink plenty of water,” warns the federal agency.

Note that almost no region of Quebec will be spared, with the exception of those further east.
