Wearing a mask outdoors in Paris will no longer be compulsory from Wednesday February 2, confirms, Monday January 31, the Paris police headquarters in a press release. “This measure is part of a context of marked decrease in the incidence rate in the region for a few days”writes the police headquarters. “When respect for social distancing is not possible, outdoors, everyone is invited to wear a protective mask.” adds the prefecture.
The Prime Minister, Jean Castex, announced Thursday that wearing a mask would no longer be compulsory outdoors from February 2, the date on which the gauges will be abandoned in places open to the public. Telecommuting “will no longer be mandatory”but recommended on this date, further indicated the head of government during a press conference in Matignon.
