Weapons, ammunition and cocaine seized on the South Shore of Montreal

(Longueuil) Weapons, drugs and cash were seized during the night from Friday to Saturday on the South Shore during a police operation which also led to an arrest.


Agents from the Montreal division of the Integrated Arms Trafficking Team knocked on the doors of five residences in Longueuil, Saint-Hubert and Brossard to conduct searches.

According to the report published Saturday, they seized eight handguns, magazines, ammunition, a long weapon, approximately 2,300 g of cocaine and more than $4,800 in Canadian money.

A 35-year-old woman was also arrested. She was still being met by investigators Saturday midday.

The Integrated Arms Trafficking Team is made up of agents from the Sûreté du Québec, the City of Montreal Police Service, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Canada Border Services Agency.

The Longueuil agglomeration police department also participated in the operation which took place on its territory in the last hours.
