Abigael Joseph, 21, and Gepherson Léopaul Jean-Baptiste, 22, were arrested Thursday around 5 p.m. by officers from the Équinoxe squad.

Arrested at the wheel of a vehicle, Joseph would have provided a false identity to the police before trying to flee, without success. He was then targeted by an arrest warrant, according to two sources.

The young man linked to the middle would have quickly handed a men’s bag to Jean-Baptiste, the occupant of the passenger seat.

According to our information, the purse concealed a loaded 9mm type polymer firearm.

Abigael Joseph faces charges of possession of a firearm, breach of condition, obstructing police work and personation.

His sidekick must appear during the day for possession of a firearm and obstructing the work of the police.
