While many Ukrainians have been forced to flee their country since the start of the war, franceinfo is launching an information channel on Telegram to help refugees arriving in France. Every day, franceinfo УКРАЇНА (franceinfo Ukraine) disseminates practical information in Ukrainian to make it easier for them to find the contacts they need in their procedures.
This practical information loop should allow them to be further supported in their procedures, in the form of voice messages and short texts. It is produced on a daily basis by Anna Ognyanyk, a Ukrainian refugee based in the international editorial staff of Radio France, since her flight from the country in mid-March.
“It’s something really important, it’s necessaryexplains Anna Ognyanyk. I am also a refugee. When we arrive here, we are not prepared, we are in an environment that we do not know at all, we sometimes do not speak the language, it is even more complicated. We don’t know which door to knock on, what papers to have and what steps to take. There are plenty of questions. We’ll try to give some pointers.”she explains.
