“We will preserve the audiovisual public service”, assures Castaner (LREM)

Emmanuel Macron proposed to abolish the TV license fee on Monday March 7. “The President of the Republic is very attached to the audiovisual public service. On the other hand, the TV license fee is an unfair, archaic tax, which was backed by the housing tax. What would be the impact of this measure on the budget of the audiovisual public service? “[Il faudra] perhaps give it the same budgetary references as those given to constitutional power. That is to say a long-term commitment, a budget which is paid at the beginning of the year”details the president of the LREM group in the National Assembly.

Emmanuel Macron also wants to triple the tax-free bonus introduced in 2020, known as the Macron bonus. “He announces tax exemption and desocialization”specifies Christophe Castaner.
