“We were waiting for this!” Rejoice the first swimmers of the Limoges Aquapolis

Along the Olympic basins, flippers, masks and snorkels have returned to their habits. On the side, the relaxation pool, around thirty people are impatiently awaiting the resumption of their Aquagym lessons. “We were waiting for this!” exclaims to Pascale all smiles. Moving around in the water, the septuagenarian and her friends had missed it. “The entertainers are very friendly, so it’s a real shame that it was closed for eleven days.”

Hope it lasts!

During these two weeks, the closing of the swimming pool had forced the limougeaude to go to the swimming pool of Saint-Pardou. “It’s the only place that also had a pool for my grandchildren who can’t swim,” she explains.

Not very practical, so this reopening, “for as long as it lasts! Because we really ask ourselves the question. We understood globally that there was a money problem… But we didn’t really know more. This decision to close like that unilaterally is a no. But hey, we know that Vert Marine is very bad at the communication level.

400 visitors from the first morning

Already at the end of the morning 400 regulars had put on their bathing suits. At the exit, Ingrid, Céline dry off after 1h30 of swimming. One lives in Oradour, the other in Limoges, and it is at the Aquapolis that they get motivated together. “We do jobs that need to have a muscular back, because I am a nurse and my colleague too.” In addition, the aquatic complex in the north of the city is the only one that corresponds to their working hours. “Nothing is open in the morning. Or else it’s around 5 p.m., but it’s time to get out of school, and we have to pick up our children, so impossible.”

After two weeks without sport, the great reunion of the girlfriends will be celebrated around a good lunch. “We are very happy to make our subscription card profitable!” On the thirty swimming pools closed by Vert Marine at the beginning of the month, more than a third will reopen their doors this weekend.
