Matisse’s father, killed by several stab wounds in Châteauroux, calls for calm and asks that the white march organized on Saturday May 4 not be used politically. “He was a really nice kid so we want a nice march, something that resembles him”explains his father, Christophe Marchais to France Bleu Berry.

The family is organizing this white march at the request of the 15-year-old’s friends. But she also received many messages from “recoverers of this kind of drama”. They “offered us to organize anything, in any direction, any way. We didn’t want it to go haywire and break windows or turn into a political demonstration. So we said to ourselves that we were going to do it ourselves and correctly”says the father.

Relatives of Matisse and residents are called to gather from 3:30 p.m. this Saturday. The procession will pass several symbolic places, “places where Matou grew up”, underlines his dad. Another ceremony to pay tribute to Matisse will be organized on Tuesday, the day of the funeral.

Matisse, 15, died after receiving several stab wounds in Châteauroux last Saturday. The suspect, also aged 15, is indicted for “murder” and placed in pre-trial detention. The suspect’s mother, aged 37, was indicted for “intentional violence” against a “vulnerable person”, suspected of having “slapped the victim” injured.
