“We should not expect any improvement before the start of 2023,” says Bruno Le Maire

The Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, declares this Wednesday that we must not “not expect an improvement on the inflation front before the start of 2023”. Forecasts in line with the climate full of uncertainties in which the Council of Ministers opened for the start of the school year, a little earlier in the morning, and while consumer prices rose by 6.1% over a year in July according to INSEE. But “we do not have no scenario on the table today that foresees double-digit inflation in France”added the minister.

After having already reached 5.8% in June, inflation accelerated further in July, reaching 6.1% over one year.
