We plant summer vegetables to make ratatouille!

The pro who gives us his tips every Monday on France Bleu Poitou is Jacky Mercier, whose tomatoes adorn the tables of great chefs in France.

If your young plants were raised in a greenhouse, they are too tender to face heat at over 25°!

Usually Jacky recommends us in this season to place the young plants between two tiles to protect them from the night cold. But in this month of May 2022, we are going to use the same process, this time to protect them from high heat.

The thing of the day?

When you put your tomato plants in the ground, remember to remove the first leaves to be able to push them deeper into the ground, this will force them to make more roots.
