In Pennsylvania, the November presidential election between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris could be decided. The middle-class vote is a major issue in the election.
Polls between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump on voting intentions are changing little. The November election is still expected to be close, and the state of Pennsylvania will play a key role. “Pennsylvania is the symbol of a middle class that is disappointed and that pays a lot of taxes. The two candidates know that it is the middle class that must be convinced. That is why the candidates go there very regularly.”explains Laurence Haïm, a French-American journalist.
“There is a rural Pennsylvania that is very Trumpist and is even ready to take up arms to defend Donald Trump. And the Pennsylvania of Pittsburgh, which is a more urban city with a middle class and its 43% of independents who still have not decided for whom they are going to vote. It is crucial for the next president of the United States to have Pennsylvania. It counts enormously among the ‘swing states’.”adds the journalist.
