“we need local curfews”, says Renaud Muselier (Renaissance)

For the fourth night in a row, violence punctuated the night of June 29 to 30. These riots follow the death of Nahel, a 17-year-old teenager, killed by a police officer after refusing to comply. Guest of the “4 Truths”, Friday, Renaud Muselier, president of the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur, believes that there are in France “dark forces which take advantage of all situations to try to loot, to break and destroy”. The chosen one distinguishes “between the one who cannot bear what has happened” and “the one who takes advantage of the situation to break”.

“A call for calm”

During the 2005 riots, Renaud Muzzle was a minister. Asked about the establishment of the “state of emergency”, he said he was rather “favorable to the relocation and decentralization” of the measures, because “the mayors know their neighborhoods very well”. “We need curfews which are fixed with the mayors”, indicates the former LR. To stop this outbreak of violence, he assures us that “we need a call for calm”. He also judges that there are “vultures”, in particular on the “left” and on the “extreme left”, who seek “to destructure” the country and who “never call for calme“.
