“Justice must take this matter in hand”asked this Thursday August 18 on franceinfo David Le Bars, secretary general of the Union of National Police Commissioners (SCPN), about the problem of urban rodeos.
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin asked all police stations on Wednesday to carry out three anti-urban rodeo operations a day. “It is not tenable in time”assured the commissioner. “The police stations have so many objectives that it will obviously be impossible to hold three operations per day everywhere in France”.
On the other hand, David Le Bars says “wait for positions and a word of justice for the criminal response” because if the participation in an urban rodeo is potentially punished by one year of imprisonment, “it hardly exists” according to him. He adds that it is necessary “Let the legislator or the judiciary look in the mirror and consider the seriousness of the penalties”.
