Three people were targeted during an attack in the heart of Paris, one of them was seriously injured. The 32-year-old man, of Malian origin, was not known to the police, specifies Reda Belhaj, spokesperson for the SGP Police IDF unit. He attacked two people: “a security agent intervened and was shocked”while another “would have taken a stab wound to the abdomen”, he adds. His vital prognosis could be in jeopardy.
“Very responsive” security agents
“We must salute the action of the police and security agents who carried out the arrest and who were very responsive”, says Reda Belhaj. The spokesperson specifies that the police are trying to prepare as best they can for this type of attack, despite the “lack of equipment”. “Today, apart from adapting, there is not much we can do”he laments.
