“You must include the photo of people on their health pass” in order to “reduce fraud”, proposed Tuesday, December 21 on franceinfo, vice-president of the catering branch at the Union des métiers et des industries de l’hôtellerie (Umih), while Prime Minister Jean Castex called for more control of the health pass in the places open to the public, especially places to eat.

“As on a Vitale card, including a photo on the pass would add a difficulty and I think that fraud should decrease”, he added. “This would allow us to see the person’s face at the same time as checking the QR code.”

Regarding the control of the sanitary pass, Jean Terlon mentioned some restaurateurs “who forget, for lack of time, for lack of personnel or for laxness”.

He ensures that the customer must also take his part in the equation: “We also need the customer to help us ensure that professionals are very serious”, he called. “They have to demand to be checked in order to be sure that one is in a dining room with all the people at the table who are vaccinated.”
