“We must appease and reform”, supports Tuesday February 13 on France Inter Nicole Belloubet, Minister of National Education, appointed last week to replace Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, entangled in several controversies linked in particular to her criticisms against public schools. With this in mind, the new minister met on Monday, and will continue to meet, with trade union organizations.
Guest on France Culture Tuesday morning, Sophie Vénétitay, general secretary of Snes-FSU, the main secondary education union, warned that abandoning the level groups provided for in the “shock of knowledge” was a prerequisite. She has a meeting with the minister “in a fortnight.”
“I want to re-engage in a dialogue” with the unions and “a certain stability is not useless”, affirms the new Minister of National Education.“We are starting a new dialogue”she insists.
