We Love Green announces an eclectic 2023 edition dominated by rap

Lomepal, Phoenix, Pomme, OrelSan, Gazo, Little Simz, The Blaze, Skrillex and Bon Iver are some of the headliners of the next edition of the eco-responsible festival scheduled for June 2-4, 2023 at Bois de Vincennes.

We will dance, we will jump, we will pogotera and we will wave at the next edition of the We Love Green festival, which unveiled the bulk of its program on Monday February 6, 2023. Rap, rock, pop and electronics are on the menu from June 2 to 4 in the vast clearing of the Bois de Vincennes and the ticket office is already open.

After braving bad weather last year (the big Saturday evening had to be canceled after 6:30 p.m. due to violent storms and downpours), the festival has planned to unleash a rap tornado for this edition. .

The rap in force

This genre, both in French and Anglo-Saxon versions, is strong this year: OrelSan, PLK, Anderson .Paak and KnxwLedge, Yung Lean (Friday June 2), Pusha T, Gazo, Little Simz, Channel Tres, 070 Shake (Saturday June 3), Lomepal and Dinos (Sunday June 4) have planned to entertain the crowd.

The environmentally conscious festival skilfully mixes once again stars and promising young shoots, such as the Belgian pop-electro of Charlotte Adigery and Bolis Pupul, the soul-gospel of the Anglo-American trio Gabriels and the unclassifiable Aime Simone. But he also mixes heavyweights from the French festival circuit such as OrelSan and Pomme with other rarer artists in France such as the strong British head Little Simz, whose absence we regretted last year, or the American veteran Pusha T, two nice catches from this delivery.

Rebellious rapper Little Simz’s 10 minute long “No Thank You” music video.

Folk, rock and electro

We also note the presence of the French group Phoenix, announced last year and forced to give up playing due to bad weather, as well as that of American folk ghosts Bon Iver alias Justin Vernon, and Jack Johnson, ex-surfer and filmmaker.

On the electronic side, the Parisian label Ed Banger and his boss Pedro Winter are announced in Block Party mode to celebrate their 20th anniversary, but also the French duo The Blaze, the American Skrillex whose new album is expected this year, the first since 2014. , and American DJ and producer Honey Dijon.

After stand-up, skateboarding makes its debut at the festival

Last year, the festival had inaugurated with the comedian Fary a new stage dedicated to stand-up. She is back this year but we still don’t know with whom. The novelty this time will concern sport, introduced for the first time at We Love Green with a space called the Playground, which will act as the “before” of the 2024 Olympics, with skateboarding, one of the last Olympic disciplines.

We Love Green had welcomed 80,000 people in total in 2019 during its last edition in optimal conditions.
