It is with a broad smile that Fabrice Gillotte takes stock of the past few weeks: ” in April, we sold 1700 packages. Easter is a season not to be missed. ”
A year ago, the company could have died- Fabrice Gillotte
We are far from the drama that shook the company at the beginning of 2021 with the fire in the laboratory located in Norges-la-Ville: “on that day, the company could have died,” says Fabrice Gillotte. “It was a disaster for us and for the employees. We rolled up our sleeves, and in September, we will have a unique workshop in France. The company will be transparent about working methods, packaging, dyes. We want to show everything, hide nothing.”
Almost a third of the annual turnover
To meet demand, the Gillotte chocolate factory has recruited two people on permanent contracts in recent months and two temporary workers have joined the workforce for Easter. “We have been working a lot since the beginning of the year. And Easter is 27% annual turnover” recognizes the chocolatier.
