“We still hope that the other Nupes parties come to their senses and take responsibility”and propose a common list for the 2024 European elections, announced Wednesday December 20 on franceinfo Mathilde Panot, leader of La France insoumise in the National Assembly. “Our proposals” common list “are always open”, assures the MP, “given what is happening in the country”, she adds, referring to the vote in Parliament on Tuesday evening on the immigration bill.
Mathilde Panot thus confirms that La France insoumise could line up behind an environmentalist list for example, which has already announced that Marie Toussaint would be the head of the list. “This is why we did not formally say that Manon Aubry would be our head of list”she explains.
To underline the issue of a possible common list for these elections, Mathilde Panot summarizes: “Do we want that on the evening of the European elections, it will be the National Rally which will be the leading force in the country? Or do we want it to be the political alternative which will be in the lead? is the possibility we have, if we go to the European elections together.”
