Footballer Noa Nehar – currently in Kiev – is worried. And for good reason for several hours, Vladimir Putin’s army has been gradually invading Ukraine. This military intervention provoked strong reactions around the world. This Thursday, February 24, 2022, Emmanuel Macron also denounced “the choice of war” of his Russian counterpart.
“By choosing war, Vladimir Putin has decided to carry the most serious attack on peace in Europe for decades”, he acted during his last speech. “To this act of war, we will respond without weakness, with composure, determination and unity. We will take decisions at the G7 this afternoon, at the European Council this evening in Brussels, and at the NATO summit which will take place in the next few hours. […]. We will hold Russia accountable to the United Nations Security Council.”
For RMC Sports on the same date, Noah Nehar confided in his daily life, which is one of the most eventful. As a reminder, the football star plays for Dynamo Kiev, one of the most prominent clubs in Eastern Europe. For the moment, he cannot leave the territory because of the tensions. “Last night at 4am, it woke us up. There were planes passing, fighter or military planes”, explained the midfielder for our colleagues. “Small bombings, I don’t know if that’s really it because here, we don’t know a lot of things. We don’t have the news, we don’t have TV. So we don’t know yet. […]. Last night, we heard three or four explosions… An hour later, we heard another one. And there, ten minutes ago, we heard sirens”.
While waiting for the situation to unblock, Noa Nehar wants to stay positive. “There are traffic jams everywhere because everyone wants to leave the city, the trains are full and the airport is closed. It’s a bit complicated to leave. We are waiting for our deputy to speak with the French Embassy to find out when we can leave, perhaps go to Poland. We’ll see what we can do.” added the sportsman who trained at As Monaco. To be continued…
