A year and a half after the birth of her daughter, Alma, Camille Lellouche lifts the veil on her birth, which was not Hollywood for a penny. The singer and actress reveals behind the scenes of the birth of her baby, in “tell you everything“, which is released in bookstores this March 6, 2024. And she advocates: “To tell the reality. We have to stop hiding it.”
“I had a hemorrhage and they gave me a transfusion”
The one who has already broken the taboo around domestic violence, in 2021, by participating in the show “Sept à quatre”, now explains, without filters: “You really suffer while giving birth. It’s very rare that this is fluid“. And added: “I was terrified of the epidural and I had two!“In fact, like other women like Keira Knightley before her, who tackled Kate Middleton, across the Channel, Camille Lellouche, who doesn’t hold a grudge against anyone, quips: “In Christmas TV movies, we put a little sweat on the women’s foreheads then we film a very cute baby, with a super beautiful mother”and reveals: “I had gained 20 kg, I was yellow and I had white lips. I had a hemorrhage and they gave me a transfusion of 1 liter of blood.”
In her book, Camille Lellouche does not ignore any subject. She also shares with her daughter, and her fans, her other difficult moments, which made her who she is today. She, who is finally making a living from her passion, says that she worked very young to get by. She remembers: “I started babysitting at 14, then I worked in fish markets. I got up at 4 a.m., that teaches you about life.”
“My body is ruined”
And to add: “I did ten years of catering before making a living from my passion. My body is ruined. I served people like Mouloud Achour, Clovis Cornillac… The director Rebecca Zlotowski offered me my first role in ‘Belle Epine’ by giving me meeting in the restaurant. I went up the steps of Cannes, and I resumed service.
