Pierre-Henri Dumont, member of the Les Républicains du Pas-de-Calais, guest of 12/13 info, Tuesday October 24, welcomes the speech by Emmanuel Macron, who recalled France’s solidarity in the tragedy experienced by Israel . “We have lost more than thirty compatriots (…) We have nine people missing, we do not know if they are hostages in the Gaza Strip”, he emphasizes. For him, the international coalition cannot take the same form as that against the Islamic State.
The two-state solution not yet possible
According to him, France can still have a position in Lebanon: “The challenge is to ensure that Hezbollah does not move.”assures Pierre-Henri Dumont. “Saying it is very good, now we also suffer from our strategic weakness by obviously having only one aircraft carrier“, he adds.
