On December 18, the France team lost to Argentina in the 2022 World Cup final. A match as sensational as it was controversial. Since the victory of the Albiceleste, the controversies are linked, in particular because of the inappropriate behavior of certain players, including Emiliano Martinez. Despite the defeat, the Blues seem to be getting back on their feet. At the end of the meeting, the latter were also able to count on the support of Didier Deschamps who, like Kylian Mbappé, was in tears on the ground. Faced with the failure of his team, the coach could not hold back his tears. However, the former French international can be proud of the work he has done. A job he should be able to continue if his contract is renewed.
A salary of several million euros
Indeed, Noël Le Graët, the president of the French Football Federation, trusts the talents of Didier Deschamps. In any case, this is what his salary seems to prove. According to information from the newspaper L’Équipe, the latter would receive around 2.5 million euros gross per year. Salary plus generous bonuses, including image rights (22,000 euros per game). As a reminder, the Blues play around ten matches each year. This therefore makes 220,000 euros guaranteed for the 54-year-old coach who would thus receive a comfortable salary of around 3 million per year.
The players of the France team, meanwhile, are not to be pitied. If they weren’t lucky enough to win this third star, they should be able to console themselves with a nice little bonus of 290,000 euros. Bonus paid for having managed to reach the final of this 2022 World Cup organized in Qatar.
