After having disappeared from our countryside for more than a century, the wolf has reappeared in France for about twenty years. In Abruzzo, wolves and bears
> THE GREAT REPORT
In the mountains of Abruzzo, Italy, the wolf has reappeared and it has become an attraction for tourists, but a danger for the shepherds’ sheep. The Italians also have to deal with another predator, the bear. Thanks to apples slipped into a trap, a biologist is about to capture Giacomina, a bear. She studies the movement of plantigrades in order to set up devices to keep them at a distance. Some bears are harmless, but others attack and become a mortal danger to humans.
> THE GUESTS
The presence of the bear is also debated: what place should we leave to these predators, do we still know how to cohabit with the wild world when it arises? Around Eléonore Gay, veterinarians and wildlife specialists answer these questions.
