Questioned by 19/20 info, Thursday February 8, RN deputy Laure Lavalette expressed having few expectations regarding the appointment of the government team.

While the complete government team should be named on the evening of Thursday February 8, Laure Lavalette, MP for Var and spokesperson for the RN group in the Assembly, guest of 19/20 info, is not impatient. “We have the impression that there is a game of musical chairs”she laments. “We don’t see any change of course and it’s a shame for the French, because the concerns of the French remain the same, insecurity and purchasing power”she adds.

“The majority is fractured”

According to Laure Lavalette, these new appointments will not “change anything”. On the evening of Wednesday February 7, François Bayrou revealed that he had refused to join the government. “We can clearly see that the majority itself is fractured, (…) even within its political family, there is no longer so much unanimity”, indicates the MP from Var. For her, the nomination of Nicole Belloubet would be “surprising”after his criticism of Gabriel Attal. “I think the French are disappointed once again”she concludes.
