“We do not know” the origin of the detected noises, explain the American coast guards

“We do not know” the origin of the noises picked up in the ocean during the underwater search to find the five occupants of the submersible who had left to explore the wreck of the titanicrecognized the US Coast Guard on Wednesday, June 21.

“I can’t tell you what those noises are. What I can tell you, and that’s most important, is that we’re looking for where the sounds are.” were captured, captain Jamie Frederick said during a press briefing in Boston.

He added that it was necessary “stay optimistic and have hope”as breathable air supplies are expected to run out on Thursday aboard the submarine Titan.

“Acoustic Signals”

Sounds were picked up underwater by Canadian aircraft during search operations. According to the magazine RollingStonea Canadian P-8 aircraft “heard banging sounds in this area every 30 minutes. Four hours later, additional sonar was deployed and the banging was still heard.”

Besides these knocking noises, “Additional acoustic signals have been heard and will help direct surface assets while maintaining hope of finding survivors”for its part affirmed the chain CNN, citing an internal document of the government of the United States.

A vast search operation is underway in the hope of saving, by Thursday, an American, a Frenchman, a Briton and two Pakistanis, passengers of a tourist submarine which went down to visit the wreck of the titanic at 4000 m depth.
