“We do not communicate the amounts” paid to GL Events, the company that built three-quarters of the temporary facilities for the Paris 2024 Games, Tony Estanguet, the president of the organizing committee, made the decision on Wednesday, August 28, on franceinfo. The company, chaired by Olivier Ginon, a close friend of President Emmanuel Macron, was singled out on Wednesday, August 28, by an article in Chained Duck for its lack of transparency.

The satirical newspaper claims in particular that Paris 2024 does not wish to communicate the amount of the calls for tenders, which was confirmed on franceinfo by the president of the organizing committee. “We have total transparency with our control bodies”says Tony Estanguet, “On the other hand, publicly, it is business law. We commit to our partners, whether for partnerships or for services, never to communicate the amounts that are signed in the contracts”.

The president of the Paris 2024 organizing committee believes he is on target and concludes by recalling that “each of our markets” has been “audited four times by the Court of Auditors and by a number of control organisations”.
