TF1’s cult show Bigdil had not yet revealed all its secrets. Gilles Vautier, the man who interpreted the famous extra-terrestrial of the program presented by Vincent Lagaf’ granted an interview to Telepro. And he made a big revelation about one of the shoots that turned into a nightmare.
It was in February 1998 that Vincent Lagaf took control of this cult game show. He was surrounded by a merry troupe made up of the Gafettes, Ramuncho alias Bud, DJ Aspé and Team Lagaf’. Without forgetting the virtual character Bill, whose flying saucer filled with gifts had crashed in the studios. His voice and body movements were due to Gilles Vautier. A man who made his comeback in the news thanks to his interview for Telepro. And he made some sacred confidences, eighteen years after the end of the program!
“We were kept secret for a long time, but there was a fire at the Bigdione day“, he confided at first. After which, Gilles Vautier gave more precision on the drama: “It was quite impressive. There were flaming paper pineapples and the contestant had to put it out. But he didn’t make it and the fireman arrived. He said, ‘I have it all under control.’ And nothing at allThe fire was starting to spread and I see everyone fleeing. I was harnessed (…) For 3, 4 minutes, it was quite scary and then we never talked about it because we didn’t want it to be known.” Chilling confidences.
He then answered the question that all fans of the Bigdil ask themselves: will the show make a comeback? “Herve Hubert [le producteur, NDLR] bought the rights of Bigdil. He told me about it and asked my opinion. Doing a Bigdil shot again would be very funny. It won’t be daily. Officially, I don’t know anything. I just know that the producer bought the rights. If we resume this show, it would be a bonus format in my opinion“, he said. Case to follow therefore.
