A tenth day of mobilization against the pension reform is scheduled for Tuesday, at the call of the inter-union. VSis the subject of Talk franceinfo. Every evening, from 6 p.m., Manon Mella and her guests debate with Internet users on the franceinfo Twitch channel.

More than 200 rallies are planned for Tuesday, March 28 across the country. This is the tenth day of mobilization against the pension reform since mid-January. Since the use of 49.3 to pass the bill, the intensification of the social movement seems to worry the government. So, can the mobilization still last?

Manon Mella receives Aurora Koechlinsociologist at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne and Clem Converset-Doréspokesperson for Alternatiba Paris to discuss it.

A part of the youth increasingly mobilized

Since the triggering of article 49.3, more and more young people are joining the processions of mobilizations against the pension reform. According to the National Union of Students of France (UNEF), nearly 500,000 young people were on the streets on Thursday 23 March. These are mobilizing in particular on the issue of police violence.

If the strikers are less numerous for this tenth day of mobilization, the demonstrations have many young people in their ranks. Against the pension reform but also for the environmental cause or against police violence, the commitment of part of the youth in this social movement seems to give it a new tone.

Join us from 6 p.m. Monday to Friday on the franceinfo Twitch channel to participate in Manon Mella’s Talk. An hour of exchange, clarification, and debate around topical and social issues.
