We couldn’t miss it. The “old” Philippe Poutou and the equinox point of Jean-Luc Mélenchon

It’s time for the weekend debrief of our candidates. First with news from Philippe Poutou aka the “old man”. The NPA spokesperson and candidate was with our colleagues from France Inter on Sunday noon. He then posted a video on his social media with a hint about how long the interview lasted. It’s not easy but I think you’ll find it.

So how long did the interview last? Five minutes, at least five minutes and 46 seconds precisely. And I believe that Philippe Poutou did not find that fair.

A little earlier in the weekend, Valérie Pécresse, showed us that the quotation of Tanned: “Forget that you have no chance go for it, you never know on a misunderstanding, it can work” is still not outdated. The candidate Les Républicains was therefore at 13 Hours of France 2 and was asked the name of the personalities she would like to see in her government. No problem: it unfolds, therefore citing Teddy Riner, Leïla Slimani and Pierre de Villiers.

Except that… the three cities are not super hot. They learned that they were in the ideas of Valérie Pécresse like you and me in front of their TV.

This weekend, we also had a new episode of the web-series The candidate, devoted to Emmanuel Macron’s campaign. Where the president-candidate speaks of a rumor that obviously ran about him: “I saw in Mediapart someone said I was wearing a toupee”. This was actually in a humorous blog post and was later deleted.

And then we end with the weather update by Jean-Luc Melenchon, who brought together tens of thousands of people in Paris on Sunday, giving us a spring equinox update. In short, another great weekend for our candidates.
