A little reading this Thursday morning, because it never hurts: I present to you the long-awaited and new work of Marlène Schiappa, Minister Delegate for Citizenship.
It had been a year since she had released a book. And so I say “thank you life“, using a quote from the cult film Asterix and Obelix: Cleopatra Mission. And for good reason: the title of this new writing is none other than Is that a good situation, Minister? published by the Observatory Editions.
In this book which will be released next June, Marlène Schiappa reveals her life as a minister on 208 pages and for 17 euros. If we do the accounts, she has published eight books in total, under her name, since the start of the five-year term. She explained this graphomania on LCP, a few years ago: “The only way to endure existence is to stun yourself in literature as in a perpetual orgy, and I really believe that. That’s why I read, I write, it’s because it allows us to support existence.“So to the question “Is this a good situation, Minister?”, we can slip in a “blah…”
Small flat to issue also on the inspiration of the titles of the novels of Marlène Schiappa. Before the reference to Asterix, his last book of 2021 was called His way of being mine, already heard somewhere at Julien Clerc. And one of his first novels was Tomorrows tasted like honeytaking up some Dalida.
A little reading this morning! @OliviaLeray looks back on the literary release of the moment: the new book by Marlène Schiappa, the 8th book by the minister since the start of the five-year term.
