This time, we can really say it: Jean Castex is over. Wednesday, May 11, was his last Council of Ministers. For the occasion, we owe him a little tribute.
Remember that day in July 2020 when we all did “Huh? Who is it? Do you know that?” And then we were told “It’s Mr. déconfinement”. We did “Oh”. And then, we went to do some research, we saw that he was two years younger than Brad Pitt, we made jokes and we were happy. During his first speech, we said a little like Jean-Luc Mélenchon: “He’s here, he’s talking at two an hour…”
And then finally, he came into our living rooms almost every week at 6 p.m., his feet on the table to tell us “as of tonight, tomorrow, or December 15” we would be confined.
We had our backs full “from”. But with his farewells, a good part of our confinement is leaving. Jean Castex will leave an indelible mark on those who are looking for glasses that are on their nose or who are quite happy to make an announcement on a night train. The indelible trace of the one who denounces his daughter when she gives him the covid. The indelible trace of someone who says too long sentences that we don’t understand.
It’s the keel!
Emmanuel Macron officially thanked Jean Castex for his work. The Prime Minister is expected to resign soon and @OliviaLeray wanted to pay tribute to him ⤵️

So he is in a hurry to leave his post, he can no longer see us in painting. He does not want any other position at the moment. So, have a good rest Jean Castex! And we wish the person who succeeds him never to utter the word “confinement“, nor the formula “from”…
