Friday, February 4 is World Cancer Day. A disease that we dare to talk about more and more. But there is still a long way to go for patients, especially when it comes to finding the course of their life and their work after cancer.

On the phone, Léa Rolet, employee of “We care at Work”, helps people with cancer by answering their questions, in particular about returning to work because they are often helpless. “I will take stock of his situation, see what his rights are, remind him of them”she says about a woman who wants to reintegrate into professional life after illness.

Léa, herself suffering from cancer of the lymphatic system in 2017, stopped working for six months. Upon returning to work, she is promptly fired. “Often, we think that the disease is the most difficult, and in the end, many people say to themselves that it was harder afterwards”she says. AT Institut Curie, women take to re-taming their bodies after cancer. Brigitte was a manager but she preferred to change jobs and pace to avoid any relapse of her illness.
