“We cannot compromise with the health of employees”, reports Élisabeth Borne

In the introduction of the vaccination pass, there are measures concerning telework which would not be applied enough. Elisabeth Borne, Minister of Labour, Employment and Integration, had planned administrative and financial sanctions on this subject, but they were rejected by the senators. “It is very important that employees are well protected at work, that is why we wanted to strengthen telework […] I am aware that there is weariness, that a lot of effort is being asked of companies and employees. We cannot compromise with the health of employees”, reports Élisabeth Borne.

Invited on the set of France Télévisions, she took the opportunity to reassure small businesses about the harshness of the sanctions she wishes to propose. “We decided to lower the maximum amount per employee to 500 euros when it was 1000 euros. We maintain a ceiling of 50,000 euros”, adds the minister of labor, Employment andInsertion

Would the Omicron variant have too great an impact on economic activity? “We want to keep the school open and it is important not to disrupt the economy. We have an increase in work stoppages in the last weeks of 2021, which is confirmed at the start of 2022. […] but it does not have an impact on economic activity in general. I note that the level of job offers submitted to Pôle emploi is not declining,” adds Elisabeth Borne.
