She is now the mother of two children, since this summer – a 10-year-old daughter she had with Mabrouk El Mechri and more recently, on August 28, 2023, a son, born last August with Niels Schneider. This week, while promoting the series “Tout va bien” in Belgium, the star from Schaerbeek gave an interview to RTL Bonsoir, where she confided about her family.
“We can quickly slide towards nothing”
Concerning her maternity leave, first, she explained: “I shot the series we’re talking about (“Everything is fine”, editor’s note), filming stopped in January. Since then, I haven’t shot anything. We can quickly slide towards nothing , without too many problems. After the difficulty, it’s a matter of starting again.”
Fortunately, she, who is starring in Two Sons at the cinema this year, “Nothing to lose” by Delphine Deloget and “Love and the Forests” by Valérie Donzelli, anticipated well. She won the César for best actress for “See Paris again“, last February, when no one was aware of her pregnancy. And added: “I did a lot of filming. And filming is really a time sucker. As a result, we have less for the rest, so that brings stress.”
“Becoming a mother is not a small thing in life”
We understand that Hiro’s arrival was like a breath of fresh air for his mother, in many ways. She assumes: “So there, trying to shake up something of your existence a little, to have a different relationship to things… And then, becoming a mother is not a little thing in life, it’s also something unprecedented somewhere, to change things a little, it’s not bad“. We hope to see it again very soon in cinemas. When the one that everyone is fighting for is ready, of course…
