“We are very surprised”reacted Monday, July 11 on franceinfo Maître Richard Legrand, lawyer for the families of victims in the Buitoni and Ferrero case, after the apologies presented by the CEO of Nestlé, Christophe Cornu, in an interview with the Figaro. The doctor of health law evokes a “sudden flip-flop” and wonders about the reasons for this speech, which he considers late: “Have they discovered things that we don’t know about?”

Regarding the creation of a “victim support fund” announced by Christophe Cornu, the lawyer promises to remain vigilant, “so that the brand does not shirk its responsibilities”and asks that the proposed amount be large enough to compensate all the victims. “Christophe Cornu only mentions the victims of HUS (Hemolytic and Uraemic Syndrome) in the interview… However, we want compensation for all those who have had symptoms, even in the least serious cases.”
Pending the creation of this fund, Maître Richard Legrand assures us that he intends to continue his legal action, to defend the fifteen families he represents, “both criminally and judicially.”
