Controls by the Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Prevention concerning influencers have tripled since the beginning of the year.
“We will give the names of influencers who have not respected the rules” in the coming days, announces Bruno Le Maire on Wednesday May 3 on franceinfo. “The Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Prevention [DGCCRF] is fully mobilized” against online commercial offenses and scams, and in particular those of influencers, underlines the Minister of the Economy.
30 infringements on 50 controlled sites

Already in January, the DGCCRF had published a report indicating that “6 out of 10 influencers” did not comply with the regulations. Several practices are pointed out: non-explicit paid partnerships, prohibited promotion of certain products, tax exile or accusations of scams.
