Vincent Collet unveiled his list of 12 Blues for the Basketball World Cup on the set of “Tout le Sport” on Wednesday.
Guest of “Tout le Sport”, Vincent Collet unveiled, on Wednesday June 28, the list of 12 players selected for the Basketball World Cup (August 25-September 10 in Indonesia, the Philippines and Japan). “Of course we have ambition and we are going there to go as high as possible”, declared the coach who is aiming for a new podium in the World Cup.
The manager of the Blues also returned to the absence of Victor Wembanyama, first in the 2023 NBA draft. “There are a lot of issues around him. He has entered a new life and I think there are fears about the sequence of the championship this year, the competition this summer, then his first NBA season, with huge expectations”, he explained.
The 2023 World Cup will mark the return of Nando De Colo and Nicolas Batum. “Experienced players, two of the leaders of the Olympic team that brought the agent back from Tokyo, reminded Vincent Collet. I think these are two players who will help us find the binder that we lost a bit last year.”
