The situation is still extremely tense on rue Saint-Guillaume, while many pro-Palestinian students are mobilizing.
For several days, a blockade has been set up in front of Science Po Paris by pro-Palestinian students. Éléonore Schmitt, spokesperson for the Student Union at Science Po Strasbourg, says she is associated with the movement. “Our local branch actively participates. And then, we call for amplifying the mobilization and reproducing this everywhere in France. (…) It’s a cause that is just”she assures.
“A profoundly pacifist struggle”
Éléonore Schmitt would like to emphasize that it is a question of“a profoundly pacifist struggle”. In terms of demands, the demonstration movement asks the school “the end of partnerships with Israeli universities, and with Israeli companies which currently support the ongoing genocide”, “the lifting of disciplinary proceedings against students who mobilize at Science Po” and also “an informed debate that can take place at Science Po with the management”points out Éléonore Schmitt.
