A colorful and joyful procession with rainbow flags, floats and a slogan that animates this Pride March: “Our bodies, our rights, your faces!”. In Paris tens of thousands of people are gathered, Saturday, June 25, in the procession to meet at Place de la République and attend a concert. The associative collective Inter-LGBT denounces the trivialization of verbal and physical violence. Many share their bad experiences here. “I know that if I were to take my girlfriend’s hand in the street, I would feel a little embarrassed because there are always malicious looks.”

“We are afraid of being attacked toocontinues Sandrine. I feel more comfortable in Paris than in my own city.” Violence too often ignored by the public authorities. The associations are asking the government to go beyond simple poster campaigns.
