The Polish government subsequently declared that Warsaw and kyiv were “far from an agreement” on this topic. Status of discussions “does not allow us to say that we have a satisfactory solution for the Polish side or the Polish farmers”declared the chief of staff of the Polish Prime Minister, Jan Grabiec.

According to angry Polish farmers, the influx of Ukrainian products, authorized by Brussels in support of the economy of the country plunged into war for two years, has caused a fall in prices on the markets, while these products do not respect EU standards.

The two governments are due to meet on March 28

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Wednesday that his government would go to the Polish border before February 24, the second anniversary of the Russian invasion, and asked Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to do the same. “A meeting of this type (…) has no sense in our opinion at the moment,” replied the latter, when asked about the absence of the Polish side to meet the head of the Ukrainian government at the border. “There are no mutually satisfactory solutions and there is no point in organizing a meeting to confirm that there are no compromises,” he pointed out.

The Polish Prime Minister, who assured that he was “in constant contact” with his Ukrainian counterpart, further recalled that a meeting between the two governments was already planned for March 28, in Warsaw.
