Warriors 126 – Raptors 110 | Jordan Poole scores 43 points for the Warriors

(Toronto) Jordan Poole scored a career-high 43 points, Klay Thompson added 17 and the Golden State Warriors won for the first time in five attempts this season without an injured Stephen Curry, beating the Toronto Raptors 126-110, Sunday.

Draymond Green made his comeback after being sidelined in Friday’s loss to the 76ers in Philadelphia with right quadriceps pain. He finished with 17 points and nine rebounds in 37 minutes.

The Warriors snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 3-14 on the road.

Kevon Looney added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors, whose last road win was Nov. 27 in Minnesota against the Timberwolves.

Poole had a career-high 14 field goals on 23 bottle attempts, and five field goals on 11 three-pointers. His previous career high was 38 points.

“It was rather cool to break the 40-point mark,” Poole said. But more importantly, it was good to win on the road. Everyone needs to get involved when one of your point guards goes down, and everyone did that tonight. »

Pascal Siakam scored 27 points, Fred VanVleet 22 and Scottie Barnes 17. The Raptors’ losing streak, now five, reached a season high. The Queen City club have lost three in a row at home.

“It’s an awful streak,” admitted VanVleet. You don’t want that. You don’t expect that, and you can’t accept that. This is where we are. There’s still a lot of basketball to play, and there’s plenty of time to fix that. »

Curry missed a second straight game after injuring his left shoulder in last Wednesday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers.

Andrew Wiggins of the Warriors missed out for his seventh straight game with a strained right adductor. He missed another chance to play in his hometown for the first time since Jan. 30, 2018, when he was with the Timberwolves.
