Warnings | Recall campaigns at Ram, Tesla and… Lamborghini

Manufacturers Ram, Tesla and Lamborghini recently launched recall campaigns to correct various defects.

At Ram, 17,420 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks from model years 2020 to 2023 will have to stop at the dealership to fix a problem with a transmission fluid leak that could cause a fire. Models powered by the Cummins 6.7L six-cylinder turbodiesel engine are affected by this recall. Dealers are instructed to replace the “oil dipstick and transmission vent tube,” according to the Transport Canada sheet.

On the Tesla side, two recall campaigns have been declared. The first concerns a software problem affecting Model 3 (2023) and Model Y (2020 to 2023) which can cause one or more taillights to fail in 33,155 vehicles. This will be corrected by an update sent by the manufacturer. Owners will be notified by email. The second campaign aims to solve a problem with the calibration of the weight sensors of the front passenger airbag. These do not meet the performance level for some children, according to Transport Canada. Finally, 1567 Model X 2022 and 2023 are affected and will also be entitled to a remote update to correct the problem.

And finally, on a slightly more comical note, if you are one of four Canadian owners of a very rare 2022 Lamborghini Countach, you will also need to make an appointment with your dealership. Some examples of the Italian supercar may have loose rear window panels causing them to detach. Everything will of course be repaired free of charge at the dealership.
