(Ottawa) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be visiting Canada this week.
The Ukrainian leader will head to Canada after his visit to the United Nations General Assembly in New York, then to Washington, where he will meet with President Joe Biden.
Canada was the only G7 country yet to be visited by the leader since Russia’s large-scale invasion began.
President Zelensky, however, addressed the Canadian Parliament by videoconference in March 2022.
More details on his trip to Canadian soil must be provided during the week, but depending on the Globe and Mailwho first reported the news, his trip will take him to Toronto.
A meeting with Justin Trudeau, who is also in New York this week, would be held in the Queen City, wrote the Toronto daily.
