A former Russian MP, Boris Nadezhdin, harshly criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin and his regime during a prime time broadcast on a news channel close to the Kremlin.

Few dare openly criticize the Russian government live on Russian television.

Boris Nadezhdin, who served for a long time in the Russian parliament, seems to have ignored this unwritten rule. As a regular guest on pro-Kremlin television sets, the propagandist has suggested a new government should be put in place.

“I tell you, with this current political regime, we have no chance of getting closer to Europe. We need to elect a different government that will end [au conflit] in Ukraine and who will build relationships [diplomatiques] normal with European countries”, he told the panelists and the host present during the program.

Moreover, by his facial expression, the presenter does not seem at all to have appreciated the remarks made by his accomplice.

“Why do you say that? I knew you were going to say that. […] it’s boring, “said the host.

Despite his call to order, Boris Nadezhdin continued his reflection heard by thousands of viewers.

“The presidential elections are next year. We have to elect someone other than Putin, and everything will be fine.”

Kremlin propaganda media is listened to by a large audience in Russia, although its ratings have fallen by 25% since the start of the invasion of Ukraine, reports The world.
