The journalist Agnes Vahramyanspecial correspondent to Bilohorivka (Ukraine)takes stock of the progress of the fighting in Ukraine, Monday 9 May.
Where are the fighting in Ukraine, Monday, May 9? “Moscow’s forces have accumulated absolutely considerable firepower, (with) reinforcements coming from the withdrawal from Kyiv and also from Mariupol”reports journalist Agnès Vahramyanspecial correspondent to Bilohorivka (Ukraine). She specifies that, if the Ukrainians gain a little ground around Kharkiv, they lose Bilohorivka and had to retreat for several kilometres.
“That does not mean that the Russian breakthrough is lightning fast. They also have logistical problems on their side, and the Ukrainians are facing with fierce resistance, but it is costing them extremely dearly in men. A commander confided to us that he no longer had enough troops to send to the front now”continues Agnes Vahramyan. To conclude, the journalist recalls that the Ukrainians must hold more than 900 km of trenches in their country.
