War in Ukraine | Ukraine asks the UN “to put an end to the war”

(United Nations) Ukraine asks Russia and the UN to “put an end to the war”, launched Wednesday the Ukrainian ambassador to the United Nations, Sergiy Kyslytsya.

Posted yesterday at 11:38 p.m.

“Call Putin, call (Foreign Minister) Lavrov to stop this aggression,” urged Mr. Kyslytsya, addressing his Russian counterpart, Vassily Nebenzia.

“It’s not a war, it’s a military operation,” retorted Mr. Nebenzia, during a heated exchange between the two men.

The Russian ambassador to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, for his part affirmed that his country was targeting “the junta in power in Kiev”, after the announcement by President Vladimir Putin of a “military operation” in Ukraine.
